Meri Beti Mera Abhimaan

In contemporary time, women have lots of opportunities to prove herself and contribute in the society. Nevertheless, India is still a male-dominated society, where women are usually seen as inferior to men. In addition, Gender Discrimination, Bias, and Inequality are still prominent and persistent in our society. Female Foeticide, Lack of Education for Girls, Domestic Violence, Poor Nurturing and Discrimination etc. are some major social evils in our society. Many Indian women face discrimination throughout all stages of their life, beginning at (or even before) birth, continuing as an infant, child, adolescent and adult.

Considering all these grounds, Namo Gange Trust has initiated various activities for the welfare of Girl Children and Women Empowerment. Namo Gange Trust has initiated a campaign "Meri Beti Mera Abhimaan, Ek Nayi Shuruvaat" to take forward the Prime Minister's mission of "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" aimed to improve the status of women in Indian society.

Meri Beti Mera Abhimaan is a campaign of Namo Gange Trust that aims to generate awareness and improve the welfare services anticipated for girls. Namo Gange Trust aims the overall improvement of the status of women in our society, to stop female feticide, to empower them, create respect for them, celebrate womanhood and inspire every household to celebrate the birth of a female child.
