CONTEST OBJECTIVES

OBJECTIVES OF THE CONTEST

  • Main objective of conducting and organizing this contest is to identify best talent in yoga.

  • To provide platform for getting success in yoga profession.

  • To promote demonstration ability coupled with varied degrees and intensity.

  • To promote acquired right knowledge in the field of yoga.

  • To check who can share their thoughts, vision about Yoga, it's philosophies, content and it’s impact in a presentable manner in front of public, media and mass.

  • To check who can lead the yoga in future perspectives.

ELIGIBILITY

  • In this contest any person, student (male or female) from any institute, college, school and university of India or abroad can participate.

  • For the little master of yoga category 9 to 17 year.

  • For the grand master of yoga category 18 to above.



REGISTRATION PROCEDURE FOR (TGMY)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :

The contestants is required to provide the following details to appear for auditions.

  • Copy of Aadhar Card and proof of residence.

  • Registered Mobile Number & Email address.

  • Yoga certificates like Ph. D, Post-Graduation, Graduation, Diploma, Certificate, TTC, etc.

  • Age proof, above 18 years are eligible for The Grand Master of Yoga.

  • Age proof, below 18 years are eligible for The Little Master of Yoga.

  • Experience certificate, awards and rewards, if any .

HOW TO REGISTER?

Phase 1- Auditions:

Registration process to take part in the audition for ‘The Grand Master of Yoga’ is mentioned below,

1. Offline Auditions (Live Auditions):

This is a process in which the contestants will have to register them for audition with Rs.500/- prior to the day of audition to get them listed for the round and if the contestants get selected for the Qualifying round he will have to pay Rs.1500 fees.

2. Online Auditions (Video submission Auditions):

This is a process in which the contestants will have to register themselves online in which they have to demonstrate yogic asanas for not more than 3-5 Min time. If the contestant gets selected they have to get registered along with the registration fees of Rs.2000 and has to send his video.The qualifying round will be held in Delhi.

Please Note :
  • Namo Gange Trust will provide lunch to registered / qualified contestants only.

  • The TGMY committee has decided that all qualified round shall be conducted in Pragati Maidan.

  • After the payment is deposited in the NGT account the contestants can’t ask for the refund or return of payment for any reason.

  • Score Sheet for Auditions will be provided to all respective Jury members.

  • Coordinator’s Roles and Responsibilities for auditions will be sent separately.

  • Namo Gange Trust shall be paying 17% incentive as honorarium of the total amount of fees collected from each contestant / participant for the Grand Finale round

  • Participants are expected to know and abide by rules for contest and to maintain reputation of Trust, in case, anyone is found involved in any transgression, Namo Gange has right to expel the participation of contestant without any prior notice.

Process for Live Audition :
  • Auditions are being conducted in all respective zones in India, north, east, south, west and central zone.

  • The respective coordinators are responsible to finalize place for audition in prior to conduct the auditions.

  • Jury for Live auditions will comprise of one members along with one representative from Namo Gagne Trust. .

  • The NGT Coordinator will ensure minimum 100 numbers of registrations for the audition round for The Grand Master of Yoga-2020 Event.

SELECTION PROCEDURE IN AUDITION ROUND :
  • Live auditions all over India.

  • Online video submission.

Audition Selection Procedure :

The contestants are supposed to obtain qualifying marks in each respective categories (Practical, Theory & Viva) for the Grand Finale as mentioned below;

  • Practical :  20 Marks (The contestants can do any 5 asanas as per his choice which are mentioned in the syllabus provided for auditions).

  • Theory :  20 marks (Viva will be taken from the syllabus provided in which the contestants will be asked 5 questions, carrying 2 marks each).

  • Viva round :  The honorable jury will shortlist minimum number of 50 contestants from the audition for the Qualifying round in Delhi.

  • Note :  The marks obtained in the Auditions will be also considered for the evaluation in the qualifying round of ‘The Grand Master of Yoga’ & ‘The Little Yoga Master’.

Rules and Regulation for Video Submission:
  • The Video must not exceed 5 Minutes.

  • The Video can contain background music.

  • The contestants can perform any 5 types of Yoga Asanas by referring to syllabus.

  • The contestants after getting selected will have to submit the registration fees within 15 days.

  • Once contestant is confirmed for the qualifying round, he must deposit fee for qualifying round.

  • The payment Shall Not be refunded after the submission of registration fees.

Syllabus for Audition :
  • The Syllabus for the audition can be downloaded from the website.

  • On the basis of the syllabus provided to contestants the Jury will evaluate them.

  • The contestants are supposed to prepare themselves for the auditions as per the syllabus provided to them.

  • The Syllabus is based on the Patanjali Yoga Darshan, Hath Yoga Pradipika & Grehan Samhita.

Video submission Online :

After the submission of online video, the video will be sent to the honorable Jury to review. After their remarks according to TGMY parameters, contestants who have qualified will be informed.

Phase 2 - Qualifying Round:

It is a round in which the selected contestants from all over India and abroad from the Auditions or from online video selection will be gathered in one place for the qualifying round. This round is being proposed at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Below are the mentioned details for the same :

Date & Venue - 1ST MAY, 2020, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Reporting Time - 8:30 AM at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Selection Process for Qualifying Round :
  • a)    Total One thousand shortlisted contestants will have to report for the qualifying round at the venue for their selection in the Grand Finale at Pragati Maidan.

  • b)    Task No. 1 /Day 1 contestants will be called in day 1 for their selection process.

  • c)    This round will have two Tasks to shortlist for the Grand finale round.

  • d)    Task No. 1 for students - The students will be divided into several groups, A, B, & C etc.

  • e)    The time set for the practical round will be 5 minutes/group which will consist of 5 contestants.

  • f)     Both the groups will have 2 Jury members, 2 Guest jury and 2 Namo Gange Trust representatives.

  • g)    Evaluation Process - 5 contestants will perform at the same time and the jury will ask the contestants to perform 5 asanas as per the syllabus set up for the            qualifying round.

  • h)    The evaluation will be done according to the posture, stability, sequence, breathing pattern and parameters set by the jury members.

  • i)     The evaluation in the qualifying round for the selection in Grand Finale will be done on the basis of obtained score in respective rounds of Grand Master of              Yoga Contest.

  • j)    After the practical round, the contestants must qualify the MCQ round to get shortlisted in 250 candidates for final Grand Finale.

  • The Jury will be evaluating the contestants on the bases of the aforesaid syllabus.

  • The contestants are supposed to prepare themselves for the qualifying round accordingly.

  • The Syllabus is based on the Yoga Text Book Hath Yog Pradipika.

Fee for Qualifying Round:
  • The contestants shortlisted from the auditions will have to deposit the fee of Rs. 1500 to appear for the qualifying round in Delhi.

  • The contestants shortlisted from the video submission online will have to deposit the fee of Rs. 2000 to appear for the qualifying round.

  • Same as mentioned for the auditions.

  • Also the shortlisted audition contestants can pay the fees to the respective coordinator at the audition venue itself and take the payment receipt live.

SELECTION PROCESS FOR QUALIFYING ROUND

Initially contestants will be participating for first cut-off to shortlist 250 contestants for grand finale in Pragati Maidan. However, The Grand Master of Yoga 2020 will declared after qualifying following tasks, task 1 for theory Exam, task 2 for practical round and task 3 for Interview round.

TASK 1 - THEORY EXAM :

In this task all 1000 contestants will be given 10 descriptive questions for which they will get 30 minutes to complete the exam. Out of 10 questions they will be asked to do any 5 questions of their choice.Marks for Theory Round: 10*5=50 marks.

TASK 2 - PRACTICAL ROUND:

In this task all 1000 contestants will be divided in several groups and group will perform together on stage according to the below mentioned criteria.

DAY - 2 :

Viva and Demonstration Round : In this round the contestants will be given 5 minutes. These five Minutes is divided into two parts.

  • 3 Minutes : Yoga demonstration as per his choice

  • 2 Minutes : Yoga presentation (the contestants will have to speak on yoga)

  • Result : The result will be declared in the evening of day 2 and out of 50 Contestants 20 best contestants will be shortlisted for the Final interview round.

TASK 4 - INTERVIEW ROUND :

  • In this round each contestants will have 5 minutes in which the Jury members can ask the questions in reference with the book which is asked to refer to the contestants.

  • The interview round will start sharp at 10:00 AM.

  • The result of the Interview round will get declared by 5:00 PM in the evening.

  • The Syllabus for the grand finale can be downloaded from the website.

  • The Jury will be evaluating on the basis of the syllabus provided to the contestants.

  • The contestants are supposed to prepare as per the syllabus mentioned.

  • The Syllabus will be based on the ancient Yoga content with modern updates.

Evaluation of the Little Yoga Master :

  • 1.  

    The contestants who is below 18 years of age will come in the category of little yoga master and will be evaluated according to their age group.

  • 2.  

    There will be two levels in day 1 round.

  • 3.  

    Written test- The contestants will be given question paper in which they will have to complete the exam in 30 minutes time.

  • 3.  

    Practical Round- the contestants will perform according to the criteria set for the Grand master of Yoga.


MODE OF SELECTION

Live Registration(Offline Registration)

In this the selection will be done through ‘Exclusive Audition’. Here the contestant will have to perform live in front of the Jury at the Venue.

Online Registration

Here the contestant have to send the video and write up.
